My Event Lab Workshop Labourer 

Are you a motivated and hardworking individual looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team? My Event Lab is a family run business based in Halesowen who design and manufacture event props and we currently seeking a Workshop Labourer to contribute to our thriving workshop environment. As a Workshop Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining the overall efficiency of our workshop. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the preparation and setup of materials, tools, and equipment for various projects. 
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the workshop organized and safe. 
  • Aid skilled workers in their tasks by providing assistance, handling materials, and following instructions. 
  • Carry out basic tasks such as cutting, measuring, drilling, and assembling components under supervision. 
  • Load and unload materials, both manually and using appropriate machinery. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines. 
  • Assist in the movement of heavy items and equipment within the workshop. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within specified timelines. 
  • Learn and apply basic technical skills related to workshop activities. 
  • Complete basic orders from start to finish including using a CNC machine to packaging.  

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Previous experience in a workshop, construction, or labour-intensive role is a plus but not essential. 
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects. 
  • Basic understanding of tools and equipment commonly used in workshop environments. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from skilled workers and supervisors. 
  • Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to identify and report potential hazards. 
  • Driving licence preferred but not essential.
